Missing Maps Mapathon

Contribute with your time and help us put communities on the map on Giving Tuesday!

November 28 isn't just any ordinary day—it's Giving Tuesday! This global event has become the largest annual fundraiser in the world, uniting people in the spirit of giving and raising awareness for humanitarian causes.

We at Engineers Without Borders Sweden are seizing this special day to host a Missing Maps Mapathon. Our aim? To assist local and international NGOs, as well as grassroots organizations, in navigating some of the world’s most hard-to-reach places. By mapping out remote locations or reimagining lost infrastructure, we help ensure aid gets to where it's needed most.

How Can You Help?

Ever wondered how humanitarian organizations deliver aid in the most remote corners of the world where data is scarce? Spoiler alert: it's not with printed maps. On November 28, we invite you to our Mapathon—an exciting and meaningful event where you can make a direct impact on humanitarian efforts using just three simple tech tools: a click, a hashtag, and a satellite image!

So why not donate a little of your time for a big cause? Mark your calendars for November 28 and join us in bridging the “map gap”!
