TECHNOLOGIES FOR RESOURCE FROM SANITATION

  • Hybrid Event: Online & MVM Biosfären B2069, SLU Almas Allé Uppsala Sweden (map)

Do you know what Sustainable Sanitation Solutions are?

Given the extreme pressures on our natural resources, the trend in many sectors is to increase resource recovery. What are the possibilities for resource recovery from sanitation systems? What technologies are available? How can Engineers Without Borders (EWB) and other development actors integrate these types of systems into their project work?
Join EWB´s series of tree hybrid seminars during this spring where we will address Sustainable Sanitation Solutions and help to answer these questions and inspire you to take action.

  • Seminar 1 : Sustainable Resource Recovery from Sanitation (April 8)

  • Seminar 2 : Technologies for Resource Recovery from Sanitation (May 12)

  • Seminar 3: Implementation of these technologies (June 10)

Seminar 2: Sustainable Resource Recovery from Sanitation

This seminar will talk about recovery of resources from sanitation. Safe recovery of resources from sanitation lies at the heart of a sustainable water-energy-food nexus. This seminar will cover the value of nutrients, water and energy that can be recovered from sanitation systems, as well as the prerequisites for doing so in a safe and sustainable manner.
